[LBo] Thunderbird

I just installed Thunderbird to view my Gmail account using IMAP.  I noticed
when I delete a message I'm viewing, the next message is automatically
opened.  I prefer to be returned to my inbox after deleting a message.  I
found, through googling this issue, the buttons extension resolves this
issue, but after installing and playing with the buttons extension, I was
unable to achieve the desired results.

Does anyone know of another solution?
