Thank you for your help. Here is what I found in the /boot/grub/menu.lst
file:
## additional options to use with the default boot option, but not with the
## alternatives
## e.g. defoptions=vga=791 resume=/dev/hda5
# defoptions=quiet splash
I changed the line #defoptions=quiet splash to #defoptions=vga=791. After
rebooting the computer, there was no difference in either the font size in
another terminal, or the scrolling speed - still choppy and slow. I'm not
sure if this is the correct line I was to edit, so I replace the
/boot/grub/menu.lst file with the back up I made.
The other spot I found was:
## additional options to use with the default boot option, but not with the
## alternatives
## e.g. defoptions=vga=791 resume=/dev/hda5
# defoptions=quiet splash
I assumed this was not the place to edit because it's used for an
alternative boot, not the default?
Being the data in the file is large, is there a place I can post the file,
and then include a link to the file in an e-mail?
Thanks,
Troy
