If you're running Sidux (based on Debian) direct from the CD these
suggestions may not work and will certainly need to be redone at each
boot.

In Iceweasel (aka Firefox) go to about:config
Now right click and add a new string called:
network.protocol-handler.app.mailto
Add the value:
/usr/bin/icedove
or wherever Icedove (aka Thunderbird) has it's executable.

If the link opens in a different browser, you may need to set the
preferred application to open HTTP url's.
In Debian you would use:
update-alternatives --config x-www-browser
Select Iceweasel from the list.

If it doesn't open at all I'm not sure without doing a bit of research.
