[LBo] Problem with dial-up internet with SUSE 10.2

I have not long finished installing SUSE 10.2 64 bit version on a
friends computer. The reason for my choice is that supposedly there is
100% support for multi-media applications out of the box.

The main problem I have is that, having configured the dial-up modem
with the required ISP details how on earth do I get it to actually
dial out. I refused the option of dial on demand during the
configuration process.
