Robert,
I'll try to help you, but my memory is limited. I am running Opensuse
10.1 and go online via a 56K modem. My setup is via "Network Manager
Applet 6.02." It sits on the bottom panel and I click on it to see
"Dial Up Connections" and then a choice of "Connect or Disconnect etc
(my ISP info)"
Now, the question is how did I get that setup? I don't recall and my
notes are not fully recorded. I also see in my notebook "Kinternet -
Set up Network card" I also read "Configure IDN" and "Configure Modem"
when I click on the Network icon.
Somehow I think that getting to Network Manager Applet6.02 is the
answer. Try googling some of the above.
Hope that some of this lets you get to dialing your modem.
